MBA Entrance Test (CAT)

At Atari Career Institute (ACI), our goal is to build spirit of competitiveness, open and analytical mind with hunger for the knowledge in generation-X, who will combine western dynamism, practicability and scientific temperament with India's holistic approach to life achieving perfect balance of dignity and materialistic world. When we talk of perfection and want to create inspired leaders of tomorrow, a course that appears on top is 'MBA.'

In today's competitive world, the importance of leadership can not be over emphasized. The era of globalization has made the entire world one big market, where distance / boundaries appear to have vanished. To sustain oneself in such a scenario, one would need tools of knowledge, which can inculcate leadership and astute rationalism of administration in oneself. A degree from good management school perhaps helps in achieving this and is probably the reason for ever-growing demand for management graduates. The job prospects for MBAs are as good today as they were yesterday, perhaps better. Moreover, it is anticipated that with the ever-increasing involvement of private sector in almost all spheres of life and international barriers falling, the demand for MBA is likely to further increase.

Because the demand for MBA is growing, the number of institutes offering MBA degree is also growing like weeds. It has become difficult to remove the grain from the chaffe. Only differentiating factor for the job prospects amongst the MBAs would be the institute from where they have done their degree. There are a few institutes from India which have been recognized worldwide for the quality of education they impart. Thus, there is a great demand world over for the graduates of these institutes. Prominent amongst such institutes are IIMs, XLRI, FMS, IIFT etc.

Since these institutes are regarded amongst the very best in the world, their selection criteria is also of the world standard or in other words it is TOUGH. But it is said "when the going gets tough, the tough gets going." So we at ACI endeavor to prepare students to face such an exam with elan and confidence. In effect they learn to face the challenges in life.

HOW ACI CAN HELP YOU IN THIS COURSE

After going through an intensive research on the demands of the aspirants for such courses, we have designed very comprehensive package. The package consists of

(A) class room teaching sessions

(B) home practice exercises

(C) lectures by guest / visiting faculty

(D) weekend tests

(E) progressive tests

(F) full length tests

(G) personality development program and

(H) study material

(A) Class Room Teaching Sessions:

The class room teaching sessions would be handled by a faculty which is dedicated and has vast experience in teaching. All the faculty is an alumni of top B-schools. They have all gone through these tests themselves and understand the nuance of passing them. The class room sessions would emphasize on fundamental concepts covering entire syllabus topic by topic. Each of these sessions will be followed by concept exercises. The study material which will be distributed to the students will help them in completing these exercises. Personalized attention from the faculty will be special feature of these sessions. Students are free to access faculty at any time for clearing their doubts.

(B) Home Practice Exercises:

After each classroom session, some exercises would be given to the students as "Own Time Work" (OTW). The solutions to these exercises will be monitored by the concerned faculty and one day in a week will be fixed for clearing doubts. The aim of these exercises would be to build concepts and speed, the two basic ingredients for success in CAT.

(C) Lectures by Guest / Visiting Faculty:

ACI has tie-ups with many institutes, schools, colleges etc. whose prominent faculty will keep visiting ACI Centers at various locations to deliver guest lectures on particular topics. Their vast experience in handling such courses shall give the students an added competitive edge over others in the exam.

(D) Weekend Test (WT):

ACI believes in continuous performance appraisal of the students. To check whether the student has understood and assimilated what is being taught in the classroom sessions, weekend tests have been designed. These tests will cover whatever has been taught in that particular week. After each test, intensive analysis will be made and feedback would be given to each student individually.

(E) Progressive Tests (PT): A unique feature of the program covered by ACI is that for each program periodic tests are conducted. These tests include the entire syllabus that has been covered till the penultimate date of the test. This process takes care of automatic revision of the syllabus for the students.

(F) Full Length Tests (FLT):

When the classroom sessions have completed 80% of the course, students will be put through FLT. This will orient students towards the actual exam, which by that time would be very close. These tests will be conducted in simulated conditions which will be exactly similar to the test conditions as are there in the actual CAT exam. The test papers, answer sheets, time allowed etc. shall all be exactly the same as CAT exam. The final scores of students in the CAT exam are likely to be almost similar to the scores they get in these tests. So in effect these tests would be mock CAT exams. Each test would be followed by comprehensive analysis and feedback.

(G) Personality Development Program (PDP):

An intensive Personality Development program has been designed by ACI based on time-tested and proven HR techniques and the rich and varied experience of its faculty. Through this program our endeavor is to make a 'Gentleman' out of a 'Man' and according to us a 'Gentleman' is the one who does not harm anybody through his speech, body and thought and has charismatic qualities which induces others to lookup to him for leadership and guidance. This program is compulsory and complimentary for all students enrolling with ACI for any course of duration 6 months and above. A separate module of this program is available to others also.

(H) Study Material (SM):

The SM for the entire course has been prepared after intensive research on specific demands of the aspirants.
